8 Houston Police Officers caught on camera beating 15 year old boy

May 3, 2010 Power, Problems No Comments

Chad Holley, a 15 year old high school sophomore was allegedly beaten while cuffed by 8 Houston Police Officers. The incident took place March 24th and in a little over a month’s time a video has surfaced that shows the incident and Holley looking as if he was not resisting arrest in any way. According to the Houston Police Department, the eight officers were suspended with pay while the department’s internal affairs division investigates.  As HPD internal investigations continue, the FBI has requested to see the video of the alleged assault which could ensure that the “good ole boy” protection ring is broken and justice will be served for Mr. Holley. While it encourages me that the alphabet boys (the FBI) have placed interest on the incident, my heart goes out to all the young people who get caught in police brutality and it not caught on video. Their stories and faces mostly go unseen and untold. When I look at the news video I see the face of Chad Holley — I also see 99problems with what has happened to him, the hurt spilling from his soul is just one.
