BIG MEECH’S MOM SUPPORTS “BLOWIN MONEY FAST”

July 27, 2010 Front Page 2 Comments

If you haven’t listened to Rick Ross’s new album, ‘Teflon Don’, you’re missing a greatly produced compilation of songs with features from Jay-Z to Raphael Saadiq. Out of all the songs on the 11-track project, there are two songs that stick out in my mind. One of them is ‘B.M.F.’ and the other is MC Hammer. The only reason the ‘MC Hammer’ record is even relevant in this conversation is because it sounds exactly like ‘B.M.F.’ and it might confuse you. Not to mention they’re back to back on the album

When you spell it out, B.M.F. becomes ‘Blowin Money Fast’, a maneuver that possibly derived from getting rid of illegal money before the cops got to it. This is the lifestyle that most of your favorite rappers paint pictures of. Most of those pictures come to life with the videos on BET and WORLDSTAR. Obviously, Rick Ross is quite fond of this lifestyle Demetrius Big Meech Flenory promoted because he named a whole song after it.

“I think I’m Big Meech. Larry Hoover, whippin work, Hallelujah.” <<<<<<(lyrics to the hook)

No disrespect but, not only am I not a fan of the BMF lifestyle, but the song gets no love either. I mean, Rick Ross is taking a word that is used to glorify God, to glorify drug distribution. Intentional blasphemy isn’t my thing. As a dj, I’ve learned to nod if it has a beat but that doesn’t mean I’m feeling it.

Surprisingly, I don’t expect much from an artist nowadays. In actuality, artists are supposed to take something that inspires them and turn it into art. In a sense, he did just that. But I don’t know how I feel about the mom of Big Meech supporting her sons operation. Big Meech went to jail for some serious crimes that benefited his people, not our people. She’s treating BMF like a legacy and that’s not teaching anyone a lesson. I think it just makes more criminals wish they had a support base like that. And even more disgusting is the fact that she supports the song Rick Ross has made in ode to her son. I predict there will be more idolizing of BMF since she has given the clearance. I’m not opposed to that but instead of Blowin Money Fast in front of the poor, how about Blessing More Families….just my opinion.

Rozay AKA Rick Ross is a CB4 MC Gusto fugazy!
We were just having a discussion about this song last night here in ATL where Big Meech and BMF operated. Rick Ross is so CB4 and to glorify blowing money fast to young people in communities that are unemployed and poor is mind blowing. This song is a tragedy on so many levels, I like the freestyle by Lupe. I think I’m Malcolm X, Martin Luther add a king then a JR. Thanks for this article Shakes! Blessing more families, beautiful…..

Yeah..that just pisses me off. CB4 is right cj. I guess he conveniently forgot he used to be on the other side of that lifestyle? Maybe instead of helping young people stay out of a troublesome lifestyle he always envied the people he saw being prosecuted. No chance of personal growth or evolution in sight. What a loser.
