EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND MOORE! IMMA MISS YOU DUDE!!!!

September 4, 2010 Front Page No Comments

Wednesday, August 25th I received an accidental call from Raymond Moore, a friend of mine whom I attended MEC middle school with. He had meant to call someone else but connected with me for 43 seconds. And he said that he’d get back with me about working on some music. It had been a grip since I had seen him but it was good hearing from him because we were real close. Everyone literally loved him because he was a cool dude and he laughed at all my jokes in school and forcing me to tell more!

I just got word that he was killed last night as a result to gun violence. We are less than 24hrs away from celebrating our 6th Annual Put The Guns Down Festival in Milwaukee. I’ll be there but I’m in no cake mood. I feel like we’re gonna be doing more acknowledgment of those that we lost than the celebrating of lives that still exist. I want to remain positive but its hard. We’re losing our loved ones everyday and prayer seems to be the only solution. But God don’t help those that don’t help themselves. But we need HELP!

Please keep his family among the many other recipients of news regarding the death of their loves ones in your prayers & thanks!

Kendrick Lamar is on everybody’s radar these days. The Compton emcee adds his Cali swag to the soundtrack of the forthcoming game Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. I’m not a big video game fan, but it would be pretty gangsta to play a shooting game with some West Coast rap in the background. Less war, more [...]

Damn, Donna Summers was cold talent-wise and physically! Her voice was crisp but she was stunning at the same time. Ms. Summers, who didn’t put up much of a fight climbing the charts in her 40-year career, battled with cancer, as a lot of people her age are. At the age of 63, she succumbed [...]

Mother’s Day has just passed and I can’t help but to reflect about all the single mothers that have had to sing sad songs to get through the pain of being abandoned by unfit fathers that fled. While you’re spending time with your mother, there are some that are spending time alone (for whatever reason) [...]

Forty-seven-year-old Adam Yauch, better known as “MCA” of the crew that brought you the new style, Beastie Boys, has also lost [...]

#NewMusic: Chester French “Black Girls”

April 19, 2012

Two of my favorite musicians, DA Wallach & Maxwell Drummey have bursted back onto the public scene together, re-introducing Chester French to the a world that missed the hell out of them. Their thoughtful, yet unapologetic lyrics are very much so apparent in their new release, “Black Girls.” Race is a big deal in America [...]
