Jordan Miles Family Refuses Hush Money

June 15, 2011 Front Page, Problems No Comments

Jordan Miles, victim of police brutalityJordan Miles was in high school when he was brutally beaten by three undercover police officers.

We wrote about this horrific story a little while ago on 99Problems [Nightmare in Pittsburgh]. Essentially, the police officers in question claimed that they thought that Miles had committed a crime and was armed. He was left disfigured and an uproar began in Pittsburgh about the incident.

Since then, a judge has awarded Miles’ family $180,o00 in a civil suit that they won.

His family chose to reject the money, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Sometimes, justice is priceless, right?
