Guess Who’s Giving out Whites-Only Scholarships?

Well it ain’t Sidney Poitier!

Racism is still alive, they’re just re-concealing it, said Kanye West on his 2004 freshmen release, “College Dropout.” Well, I guess now they’re just as blatant as can be with it.

Whites Only Scholarships? The only time I wanna see a whites-only section is at the laundromat. It’s too much power and history behind that specific title. It’s almost a slap in the face, especially if they got a black man spearheading the movement. From BET to FUBU, we’ve have gotten away with catering to the black audience. I think it’s more of a display of pride in ownership than just making something exclusive.

Snoop Dogg, Warren G and Tha Dogg Pound Pay Tribute To Nate Dogg at #VIBEHouseSXSW

This past Saturday evening was the ending of a 4 night platform that was hosted by Vibe & Cashmere Agency, providing big named artists as well as those up and coming, the space to show and prove in the midst of all the other SXSW activities.

The recent passing of DPG’s Nate Dogg was so unfortunate but the biggest names in the West, From Snoop to Kurupt, paid their respects appropriately at the #RespectTheWest event. CHECK OUT THE VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP

Anytime I see Kathleen Bradley, whether it’s on the Price is Right or some random tv exposure, I can just imagine Smokey(chris Tucker) screaming, “dayum, Ms. Parker finer than a mother-F*****!” In reference to Katheleen, he’s right, she is fine and she is someone’s mother. In fact, her son is a local rapper that is trying to acquire fame in the music industry. OFFICIAL VIDEO: Kanye West – Monster (Feat. Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj & Rick Ross)

It’s safe to say, Nicki killed the verse as well as the video performance. Rick Ross & Jay Z just sat or stood there, which to me, supports my first theory when I heard this song; They seem out of place. In my opinion, Nicki is more of the monster and Kanye West is just outright crazy. JUMP FOR ACCESS TO THE MONSTER’S BALL!!!

In a minute, making good music is going to be the thing to do. That’s scary, right? Check out this guy Dee-1 , whom we featured a few couple months back and is still making his presence felt with this record/video, ‘Jay, 50, & Weezy’ where he’s sitting those same big ol heads down and holding them accountable. He, somewhat reminds me of the homie, Bizzle who made his mark, basically, doing the same with more of a religious angle.

Dee dropped a mixtape entitled, ‘I Hope They Hear Me’ not too long ago and his sophomore album David & Goliath is currently available on iTunes. Hit the jump for a sample.
