Census 2010- Save Our Rims!!!

April 19, 2010 Front Page No Comments

What do rims and potholes have in common? Not a damn thing!! Which is why we avoid them. There is no reason why you should have to make a life decision of avoiding a pothole to save your car and possibly cause an accident or deal with the stresses of replacing tires and rims in the future caused by road negligence. FIX OUR ROADS!!!

You don’t have to have 26″ rims on your car to be effected by the ridiculous amount of potholes in, lets say, Louisiana who tops the most recent “Worst, Deadliest Roads List” in Reader’s Digest (see your States ranking http://www.rd.com/your-america-inspiring-people-and-stories/the-best-worst-and-deadliest-roads-in-america-the-rankings/article176005.html) But for those that do occupy a set of large rims on their everyday car or is planning to by Summer, here’s your opportunity to make a difference in your life and the community as well.>>>>> The 2010 Census.

Peep, as a New York resident experiences a bad pothole and captures others on the side of the road. Not where you wanna be on your to work….

For those that didn’t know, The Census is in place to establish an accurate count of the population. With that information, the “FEDS”, which is short for Federal Government (the people we elect), can have an idea of how many Elected Officials are needed in your City/State. That’s when the voting process comes into play. See, you can’t just fill out your Census and expect change. It’s an ongoing process, so, you’re going to have to vote the most qualified candidate that will address those pressing issues in your community. If the powers-that-be aren’t aware.…wait! We are the power, so, let me rephrase that. If the FED’S (for lack of a better word), aren’t aware of how many people are in a community, they can’t facilitate the change we all seek. When it comes to money, the government can be big spenders, 400 Billion Dollars annually to be exact but they’re not going to put large amounts of money in communities where the people hide from them and don’t vote. A closed mouth wont get fed-eral funding!!!

Check it out,

So, my homie Blizz and I have been traveling across the country promoting the Census 2010 for the last month, month and a half. And I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited about the amount of new faces that’ll be identified in this new count. As a matter of fact, they’re already counting right now and Montana, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri are the top 5 states that have participated so far. Be counted, it’s never cliche.

Above, is a clip that we developed while walking through MacGregor Park in Houston, TX. We caught up with a very informed middle-school aged young adult and quizzed him right on the spot. Shouts out to Pin Oak Middle School for spreading awareness to tha youngstas!!
