WTF?! Fox News is the Most Trusted Name in News….No, Really!!

On Tuesday, Public Policy Polling released a poll that said Fox News is the most trusted name in TV news.

In a national survey of 1,151 registered voters, Fox News was the only news outlet that more respondents trusted than distrusted. Some 49% of those polled said they trust Fox News, compared to 37% who said they didn’t. Not surprisingly, there is a strong partisan split: 74% of those who placed their trust in the conservative-skewing network are registered Republicans.

NBC News, which is likely helped by its liberal-skewing MSNBC affiliation, fared best among Democrats. The survey found 62% of Democrats trust the broadcast network’s news.CBS News fared worst among the Republicans (69% distrust it) and independents were generally distrustful of all five news sources they were polled on: Fox News, CNN, ABC News, NBC News and CBS News.

Who the hell were they polling? It clearly wasn’t younger people who watch news with a more critical eye. And forget about the partisan split, because really, the stuff that is going on at MSNBC these days is at times almost as egregious as the shenanigans that goes on at Fox. Call us old fashion, but we believe that unless you are on Comedy Central, nightly news outlets shouldn’t be biased mouth pieces for either party.

The bound-to-be-controversial poll results come on the heels of Glenn Beck taking second place in a recent Harris Poll of America’s favorite TV personalities (Oprah is No. 1) and his host network rounding out the week with its highest prime-time ratings in more than a year. Thanks to the closely watched U.S. Senate election in Massachusetts, the right-leaning cable network ranked No. 1 among all cable networks with 3.2 million tuning in. Still more impressive, its coverage of the Tuesday night election drew more than 6 million viewers in prime time.

After reading this BS we felt that we have no choice but to post the classic viral video of Davey D sticking it to Fox News’ semi-ridiculous pundit Griff Jenkins. Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.

Answer the question Fox News!!

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews: “I Forgot He Was Black”

matthews

So the often controversial Chris Matthews has once again said something that could be interpreted as disrespectful. After last night’s State of the Union address, Matthews went into a long rant about how he forgot Obama was black. I’m not really sure what he meant by his remarks, although it’s clear that he wasn’t trying to be nasty. He prolly hasn’t met too many articulate black people before, and for the first time in his life was being forced to challenge his racialized vision of the world.

Check the video and more commentary after the jump.
